Iskra Shipyard with the contract of 37m long Coastal Patrol Vessel

ISKRA Shipyard has been selected as the winning bidder in an international public tender for the construction of a €17.5 million Coastal Patrol Vessel (CPV) for the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia.
Selected among strong international competition, this project confirms ISKRA Shipyard’s growing role in delivering complex, high-standard vessels for public institutions and maritime security.
The vessel is designed by Metal Shark Boats Croatia, a long-standing partner with whom we have already successfully delivered SAR and emergency medical vessels.
Vessel specifications:
- Length overall (LOA): 37.4 m
- Hull length: 33.63 m
- Width overall: 9.72 m
- Hull width: 8.9 m
- Draught: 2.05 m
- Propulsion: 2 × CAT 3516C, 2,525 kW @ 2,300 rpm
- Generators: 2 × CAT C4.4, 86 kW
- Anchor winches: MUIR VRC8000
- Max speed: 30 knots
- Range: 1,200 NM at 25 knots
- Autonomy: up to 5 days at sea
- Aluminum hull with selected steel elements
Designed for border protection, maritime surveillance, search and rescue operations, and deployment within the FRONTEX framework, the vessel will significantly strengthen Croatia’s maritime security capabilities.
Preparation for construction begins immediately, with delivery scheduled within 28 months.
This project represents an important technological step forward for ISKRA Shipyard and a strong reference for future international programs in the segment of specialized aluminium patrol vessels. ⚓
